The victories of 2008 were incredible! We succeeded in turning out the youth vote in record numbers and finally electing a President who is positioned to be our ally in the White House. We also trained and organized thousands of young voters across the country who are committed to creating the changes that our communities and this country need.
But now
it's time for us to make sure that our hard work pays off. We have an
unprecedented opportunity to make our voices heard on the issues we
care about, and an unparalleled obligation to hold our elected
officials accountable. President-elect Obama couldn't have won on
election day without the support of this movement, and now it's time
for us to let him know that we expect serious action on climate change,
creating a green economy, juvenile justice, electoral reform, and
access to education and health care.
