Tell Nancy Pelosi to Speak for Equality
The League is joining with organizations around the country to demand full federal equality for all people in this country... And we know that kind of leadership can only come from the top.
The morning after gay marriage was repealed by voters in Maine, a couple of Leaguers joined other local community leaders for an unannounced visit with Nancy Pelosi's SF staff.
We won't get the type of leadership we need until we organize ourselves and demand it. Tens of thousands of verified voters in her district plus tens of thousands more across the country have to express their desire for justice to see the type of leadership we are requesting.
We'll be visiting Pelosi's office again soon, and we need proof that her constituency is behind us. That's where you come in.
