Online Do-It-Yourself Voter Guide Tool encourages Youth Voters to Vote Down Ballot

The youth vote could be a deciding factor in more than just the presidential race this year. But young voters in particular don't like voting for people they've never heard of. To answer this problem the League of Young Voters created an online Do It Yourself Voter Guide tool.

With the election just over a week away the big question seems to be what will happen with down ballot races?

The youth vote could be a deciding factor in more than just the presidential race this year.  But young voters in particular don't like voting for people they've never heard of. To answer this problem the League of Young Voters created an online Do It Yourself Voter Guide tool.

Housed at www.theballot.org, the tool includes voter guides created by League of Young Voters Affiliates along with voter guides uploaded by groups/individuals ranging from the venerable League of Women Voters to one in California entitled Dan's California Ballot Guide.

Currently the tool includes 44 guides in 19 states.  In many places the DIY guides provide explanation and recommendations for ballot questions as well as for down ballot candidates.

The tool particularly empowers grass roots and youth based organizations that may not be able to produce hard copy voter guides, or maintain a website with the information.

I'll give you a call to discuss this exciting new grassroots voter tool, but if you want to contact me to set up an interview, please call me at 412-513-9091.
