Olympic gold medalist Seth Wescott will be the keynote speaker at The League of Young Voters Education Fund Step Up to the Plate Awards at 6 p.m. today.
Olympic gold medalist Seth Wescott will be the keynote speaker at The League of Young Voters Education Fund Step Up to the Plate Awards at 6 p.m. today.
The gala at the Holiday Inn By the Bay in Portland recognizes young social entrepreneurs with first-of-their-kind awards. Young men and women will be applauded for nine categories such as Green Professional, Start-up Business person and Technology Maven.
Wescott, who won a gold medal for snowboardcross in Barcelona and has just returned from the SBX World Cup in Chile, is the featured special guest. He will present a video and give a speech.
