Summary:
Organize to change the political landscape for young and disenfranchised voters in Western PA.
Description: Allegheny County Field Organizer
Description: Coordinate Allegheny County to build power for a voting block that has historically been ignored.
This will involve organizing volunteers and leaders in the community
around issues important to that community and mobilizing people to
vote.
We are looking for a self-starting, motivated individual who wants to work in progressive politics.
Requirements:
- Able to execute and understand a Field Plan
- at least some working knowledge of voter files
- has great social skills.
- Ideal candidate will have some previous campaign or non-profit organizing experience.
Compensation starts at $24,000 annually
Full health benefits included; target start date July 1st, 2008.
