Campaign Finance Reform Hearing

Tuesday, February 26th, 2 o'clock

City Council Building, 5th Floor

414 Grant Street (Downtown)

*Call 412-255-2139 to sign up with
the City Clerk to speak at the hearing!

Here's The Deal:
Right now, there are NO LIMITS to how much anyone can give to a candidate running for state or local office.

What happens is, some developers give HUGE checks to candidates, the candidate gets elected, and then -- Surprise, Surprise -- that developer gets a no-bid contract from the city.

That could all change Tuesday!

Here's our chance for real reform -- our City Council is going to vote on this proposed new section to the City Code that would create limits and makes donors ineligible for no-bid contracts.

It's time to test the progressive mettle of all our newly elected city council members!  We need folks from every council district to be heard!  Speak up at the hearing and go on the record that you support campaign finance reform.
