VOTE
The next PA election day is: NOVEMBER 4th 2008
The registration deadline is OCTOBER 6th

You're eligible to vote if you are:
- A citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next election.
- A resident of Pennsylvania and the election
district in which the individual desires to register and vote for at
least one month before the next election.

At least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.

Awaiting trial or in jail for a misdemeanor. While serving time for a felony you cannot vote; however, felons released on parole or who have served their sentence are eligible to register and to vote.

To complete a voter registration form you will need to know:
- Citizenship status
- Date of Birth
- New registration, change of address, change of party
- Driver's license number OR last 4-digits of social security number
- Address where you live
- Name of municipality and county where you live
- Political party
To vote:
- Know your polling location: it is written on your voter registration card that you receive in the mail, or look it up online

Philadelphia: http://www.seventy.org/cac - Between 7am to 8pm polls are open for voting in PA -- if your polling place is closed during this time, report a violation to your county Board of Elections
- Bring Photo ID or an approved Non-Photo ID with you the first time you vote at a polling location (click here to see the list of approved forms of ID - pdf document)
- Request an ABSENTEE BALLOT if you will be unable to vote at your polling place on election day (download the form to request an Absentee Ballot be mailed to you here)
Approved forms of photo ID:
(ID must be valid)
- PA driver's license or ID card issued by PennDOT
- ID issued by any other Commonwealth agency
- ID issued by the U.S. Government
- U.S. Passport
- U.S. Armed Forces ID
- Student ID
- Employee ID
(ID must include the name and address of the elector)
- Voter's identification card issued by the voter registration commission
- Non-photo ID issued by the Commonwealth
- Non-photo ID issued by the U.S. Government
- Firearm permit
- Current utility bill
- Current bank statement
- Current paycheck
- Government check
