Yeah, so what if we want to toot our horn?! We've been doing some kick-ass work in our little corner of the world, and people are taking notice.
STEP UP TO THE PLATE IN THE PORTLAND PRESS HERALD
It's safe to say that our Step Up to the Plate fundraiser was one of the best events the League has ever hosted. A virtual who's who of Maine was on hand, including lots of political hand-shakers looking for votes from The League of Young Voters. Snowboarder Seth Wescott chatted up the crowd which included photographers from Port City Life and Portland Magazine, local reporters and even TV.

LEAGUE FASHION PLATES IN THE MAINE SWITCH
So, everyone knows that Alec Maybarduk is a button, but ever since this article about the work of The League appeared in The Maine Switch, our field director's MySpace switchboard has been on fire. Note: he's taken.
OK, League hipsters aside, the Switch got their assessment right: "Hemp milk is probably not the top drink that comes to mind when you think campaign party. Maybe a glass of brandy, a straight martini or, better yet, a good old gin and tonic. But hemp milk was the drink of choice at a recent meet-and-greet hosted by the League of Young Voters ..."
