Maine
Are you licensed to ill?
Do you have paid sick days where you work? if so,
consider yourself damn lucky - 'cause nearly half of the workers in
private sector and 79% of low wage earners don't have the right to be
sick (more #'s).
instead unjust choices are forced upon these workers: to choose between
maintaining their health and maintaining their employment. that's not
right.

Yeah, we got our own Day
Can you imagine the great surprise I felt when I heard The League..."my" League, was receiving a statewide honor for work with young people in Maine? My heart swelled with pride as a mother feels when they watch their child take its first step. I was there in the beginning, when many thought we were only committed to the 2004 elections. Here I stand, 3 years later, enmeshed in the The League that has worked so hard to change the outlook for the progressive youth movement in Maine.

Are You the Movement?
When we found out that nearly a third of our national budget in funding was lost we were hit hard with a fact we already knew: we can't depend on big funders to keep our movement moving. If we are this movement, we need to fund this movement.
