About the Video Maestro Internship
The League of Young Voters, an organization that makes politics relevant, fun and meaningful to young people, is looking for an intern to make a fresh video to represent the incredible work we do. You should know the basics of shooting, digitizing, and editing footage. You would be watching our collected footage, digitizing clips, creating a script, filming new content, and editing it all together into a fireball of video hotness. The outcome of this internship will actually be the League's official video -- so you need to have some flavor (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Vrh-p1q1Uww) if you are going to apply.
To survive in this job you must have / be:
* *very* on top of it. self motivated, reliable, responsible, detail-oriented, *always on deadline*, always follow through (seriously, don't bother if this isn't you)
* a good team-player, and also a good independent worker
* organized, able to prioritize time effectively, resourceful, able to multi-task
* quick learner
* strong proven knowledge of video production and editing, etc
* demonstrated commitment to economic and social justice
* some flavor. or at least your videos need that flavor.
Note: You know how a lot of internships are kinda b.s.? Well this one is real -- real responsibilities, real skills, and you'll learn a lot. That also means there are real expectations too, and you to need to bring it.
Location
• Ideally this position is based in San Francisco, but if you're good enough, we may consider elsewhere.
