Election triumph: Pittsburgh League deals a blow to the machine
PA Leaguers watch the polls on election day
Our Pittsburgh field campaign canvassed voters for weeks leading up to the election and even door knocked on election day to get out the vote. After a day of utter insanity, the primary elections are over and the results are in.
"Our work helped lay the groundwork to elect a slew of reformers, progressives and the first openly gay man to sit on Pittsburgh City Council," said Khari Mosley, Pennsylvania State Director of the League. "I believe it is proof positive of the impact groups like the League of Young Voters can have on the political landscape."
