In the first hour of the polls opening, we've already received 5 calls from voters about where their polling location is.
will the republicans steal the election?

it has been documented that the republicans have already stolen elections and have the same people and machines and ability in place to steal this one. if mccain wins, against all the last 250 polls, the early voting data, and exit polls, what will happen?
will the democrats and the media and the country just roll over again?

Just got back from the polls in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We got there at 7:00, and had to wait over an hour in line. It's the longest line I've ever seen for voting here in Grand Rapids. We use optical scan ballots, and the process went very smoothly.

This is truly a great day and voting this morning made me feel like I helped make history. The energy surrounding this election -- the HOPE that it has instilled in so many voters, young and old -- is just the shot in the arm that our democracy needed. Ain't no stoppin' us now, we're on the move...back to becoming a great nation that we all can be proud of. God Bless America!!!

In whittier, many people are already voting and making lines in their polling places. it amazing to see young first time voters becoming more involved in what they believe in. A change is starting process!! MAY THE BEST CANDIDATE WIN.

I have voted at the same polling site in Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, NY for 10 years, maybe more. But never in my life have I seen lines for any election. I think the last presidential election I maybe had to wait to 10 minutes to vote. Today I waited an hour and a half and it was one of the best of my life!
Everyone was cool and it was and continues to be a beautiful day in New York!

My husband and I voted at around 7.45 this morning. Traditionally our voting district has extremely low turn out. However, at the time we signed in, we were numbers 68 and 69 respectively so I'm really hopeful about the election today.
Where's my ballot.

I just wanted to report that my polling place in SF ran out of ballots at 9:30 am!!!! Not to worry, they got more in immediately but what a great sign that way more people are voting this year!
Yay for Election Day!

We really really need to clean up this nation's election infrastructure. The equipment and polling places are uneven at best, often atrocious. I wonder if it's a conspiracy of neglect that creates such prone-to-fraud elections infrastructure in so many places across the country. We need a national dept of elections that pays and trains poll workers and manages upkeep of open source, paper-trail election machines.

Harris here from the Maine League. Right now, we're about 700 contacts away from our GOTV goal--we've re-inspired young and old alike here in Maine and we're psyched to see how these last couple of months come out--we're hoping for big wins!

I was happy to be the very last person at the cities office yesterday; Ushered in by one of many security guards hanging around outside... Then handing in my absentee ballot in person. I apparently got it in exactly at 7 pm, just shy of not being counted.
Brave and gleeming of victory, I strolled out with my friend, watching all the folks with a similar glow slowly meandering to their prospective cars; some clad in Obama buttons and child like joy. It was amazing.~

All over San Francisco rushed into the streets to celebrate when 8:00 hit and Obama was announced. Soon after that there was a huge dancing party in the streets with music and the news playing that lasted late into the night. There was both cheering and partying for Obama's new presidency and hoping that prop 8 (california's anti-gay marriage bill) would lose.

I am really looking forward....
