Pumped about the 2008 elections? Want to help mobilize the biggest youth turnout EVER? How about joining a massive youth movement demanding a clean and just energy economy from our elected officials?

Want to make a difference by going out to register voters and mobilize in support of a clean energy economy at festivals, parties, and concerts? Go to candidate appearances and tell them that the youth demand action and we WILL hold them accountable to every promise they make during the campaign?

League of Young Voters Brooklyn Program Internship

League of Young Voters Brooklyn Program Internship

This fall the League is working on PowerVote: a national campaign of young Americans demanding real solutions to global warming by voting to secure our climate through the creation of a clean energy economy and green jobs for all. As part of the Energy Action Coalition, we are working together with over 40 other non-profit organizations recruiting young people to sign a pledge to vote and continue to hold our leaders accountable after the election.

The Program intern will be responsible for recruiting and managing a volunteer street team of young people who will advocate for PowerVote at festivals, concerts, parties, and candidate appearances, as well as coordinating voter outreach efforts to make sure everyone who signs the pledge gets out and votes!

League of Young Voters Brooklyn Fundraising Internship

As a brand-new League affiliate, we need to start a comprehensive development program to ensure continued funding for our campaigns.

The Fundraising Intern will be responsible for a wide range of fundraising activities, from benefit events to membership drives to grant writing.  We need a creative thinker with proven fundraising skills and experience and the ability to work independently, and we need somebody who knows politics, knows New York City and knows people.
