League of Young Voters Brooklyn Fundraising Internship

The Brooklyn League of Young Voters is looking for a super talented intern to work with our New York City staff to fund our local campaigns in Brooklyn this fall and beyond!

As a brand-new League affiliate, The Brooklyn League needs to start a comprehensive development program to ensure continued funding for our campaigns.

The Fundraising Intern will be responsible for a wide range of fundraising activities, from benefit events to membership drives to grant writing.  We need a creative thinker with proven fundraising skills and experience and the ability to work independently, and we need somebody who knows politics, knows New York City and knows people.

Skills/interests:
• proven fundraising skills
• event organizing experience
• Commitment to social justice
• Sense of humor
• Research, writing, editing, and general communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly motivated, and mission driven nonprofit organization.
