2011 Election Results

Handing out voter guides in San Francisco

Tuesday was a good day for the League. After months of tireless effort to build successful campaigns on major 2011 ballot issues and endorsements, we won most of them!

Check out the numbers:

In Maine, we saved same-day voter registration. We got 9,000 signatures to help put the People's Veto (Question #1) on the ballot and handed out 36,000 voter guides.
In San Francisco, we distributed 60,000 copies of our Bay Area voter guide.
In Ohio, we turned out 1,900 voters to help defeat Issue #2 and protect workers' rights.

The key to all of this? Teamwork and efficient, innovative organizing (and maybe an awkward victory dance or two). No time to rest though - #2012StartsNow!

P.S. Dig our super cool local Leagues? Toss 'em some money so we can blow 2012 out of the water!
